Designer Cabinet Maker Restorer

Welcome

About Me…

I am a cabinet maker with over 20years experience in woodwork. I am Greek and came to Uk in 1994 to learn English and extend my studies further doing a BA in Architecture which I finished at Brighton University.

I always had a love of working with my hands and this came from watching my grandfather who was a shoe maker and made bespoke shoes for clients. But also, I have a love of working with wood so I did a BA in Designer Maker in furniture which I did at Plymouth University. I worked and trained as a cabinet maker for nearly 5 years in Dorset learning all traditional techniques using mainly hand tools and working on projects that involved lots of intricate methods. I loved it there!

My family got bigger and I had to stop for a little while. Then, I was offered a place at Yeovil college teaching NVQ 1,2,3 to teenagers and adults, including assessments at work. In 2013 moved to Heathfield  where I was working at a charity teaching woodwork NCFE level 2 to unemployed people to help them to get back to work. In 2015 I was asked to work at a rehabilitation centre, teaching woodwork to people with brain injury, parallel to this I have recently built my own workshop where I do restoration to old and new furniture, and also, I design and make items all hand made using traditional joints and techniques only based on wood.
